The European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) 2023 marked a key milestone in the European Union’s pursuit of climate neutrality. As the EU intensifies its efforts to meet its green objectives, this high-level annual event on renewables and energy efficiency has become more vital than ever. EUSEW gathered a broad spectrum of stakeholders, from policymakers and journalists to researchers, entrepreneurs, and campaigners, for a crucial dialogue on the future of EU energy policy and decarbonisation. More than a conference, EUSEW served as a platform for collaboration, innovation, and forward-looking policymaking at the heart of Europe.
To support the European Commission in delivering an impactful edition of EUSEW, VOEU designed and implemented a comprehensive, nine-month communications campaign. The strategy focused on activating and empowering the EUSEW community by fostering sustained digital engagement, producing original editorial content, and building momentum toward the event.
VOEU encouraged active participation in every aspect of the programme, including the Policy Conference, the Energy Fair, the Sustainable Energy Days, and the EUSEW Awards, ensuring broad representation across the energy ecosystem. From concept to delivery, VOEU oversaw all logistical and technical operations, including the development of a bespoke online platform to facilitate live streaming and networking, enabling a seamless and inclusive hybrid experience.
EUSEW 2023 successfully brought together Europe’s sustainable energy community at a decisive time for the continent’s climate agenda. The event provided a space for collective reflection, knowledge sharing, and strategic alignment both onsite in Brussels and online. Through high levels of engagement and participation, the community reaffirmed its commitment to driving the energy transition forward. In managing every stage of the campaign and event, VOEU once again demonstrated its capacity to deliver meaningful, Europe-wide impact.
