In 2013, the EU Parliament held a series of events around the European Year of Citizens.
Acting as a member of Ogilvy-VO consortium, VO Europe supported the creation of a special Facebook application, named “The Citizen Wall” that would serve as a basis for a European-wide Citizens contest through which participants were asked to send a photo and show his/her support of a specific value of the European Union.
VO Europe ran in this context a “live act” event in Gare du Midi in Brussels with a dedicated online communication (see video below). How? By constructing a cylindrical wall on which a selection of 250 photos - sent and selected through FB application - was posted between 15 April and 17 April 2013.
VO Europe produced a “Time-lapse Video” of the event for further dissemination to the general public. This video was part of a broader online presence strategy that was coupled with specific media buying on social networks.
