The main challenge, when conceiving decentralised training materials, is to make sure that all trainees reach the same level of competence: this is a vital point if you want a network to increase its performance.
Where things become complicated is when you need to deal with a variety of situations, resources and cultures. What to do when addressing a group which includes beginners and experts alike?
Our methodology is as simple as it is effective… simple as ABC:
- Audit: assess the individual level of performance (KPIs).
- Benchmark: setting the minimum level of expectations for each KPI, and developing KPI-based training material.
- Consolidate: control and evaluate individual and collective performance.
This methodology has been successfully implemented for the European Consumer Centres: a network of 30 national organisations from the whole of the EU, Norway and Iceland. For the ECCs, we have been designing a series of training modules based on topical webinars with the purpose of equipping the Centres with the adequate level of competence in the fields of communication and quality.
